Hi! I’m Tamar. I’m a Boston-born, Cleveland-based freelance audio producer, writer, and arts reporter with a background in art history, who has been encouraging people to look with their ears since 2014. In 2016, I created an award-winning independent art history podcast, The Lonely Palette, and in 2017, co-founded Hub & Spoke, a collective of independent, idea-driven, and mind-expanding podcasts.

I’m passionate about independence in audio, making the visual aural, and curious, compassionate human storytelling.

In 2020, I was the podcaster-in-residence at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and produced an award-winning installment of Raw Material for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. I’ve produced podcast episodes for the Harvard Art Museums, the Addison Gallery of American Art, and Storm King Art Center. In 2024, I’ll be the storyteller-in-residence at the National Gallery of Art inWashington, DC.

Since June 2023, I’ve been the senior producer of ParentData with Emily Oster. Other recent projects include audio work for Slate, WNYC, WBUR, NYU’s Knowing Machines, PRX, The Free Press, and others.
